Snow!

Although this isn't the first time it has snowed here this year, there hasn't been much on the ground lately. Instead, it has been raining:( This morning though, I woke up to it snowing outside! It was so exiting! It has been snowing/raining off and on pretty much all day, and now there is about 2 inches of snow on the ground. Snow is so pretty!

Lemon Balm

I am growing lemon balm in our garden this year, and the plant is huge! I decided to look up what to do with lemon balm, and I found so many recipes! Here are some of the things I am making with it.

  • Breath Freshener
  • Tummy Soothing Tea
  • Itch Relief From Mosquito Bites   $2 per cup
  • Bath Scents   $0.75 per bag
  • Syrup   $3 per cup
  • Mosquito Repellent    $5 per cup
  • Air freshener   $0.75 per bag                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              All of these either come in a glass jar, or a drawstring, see through bag.                               I am selling all of these things, except for the breath freshener and tummy tea. All you have to do for these is: chew a few fresh leaves whenever you want to freshen up your breath, and: fill a jar with fresh leaves, pour simmering hot water over the leaves, and cover up the top of the jar with a saucer to let it steep. Sweeten to taste.

Since the Itch Relief and the Bath Scents do not stay fresh very long, you will have to email me when you want to buy it, and I will make it when you want it. This also goes for the Air Freshener, because even though it stays fresh and smells good for a long time, it will eventually loose its smell.

Sunscreen Review

We have had a significant opportunity to try out your wonderful sun screen!  Uncle Gary has taken on the project of tearing off the old roof and re-shingling our summer house in East Hampton.  He had no tan when he began this project, and he is typically prone to burning rather easily.  For the past 3 days, he has spent a minimum of 10 hours per day on the roof, using only one application of your sunscreen each day.  He has experienced no reddening of his skin and no discomfort whatsoever.  There is absolutely no fragrance associated with your sunscreen and the product goes on smoothly, with complete absorption accomplished within 10 seconds.

Craft Sale

I am going to be selling most, if not all, of my stuff at the fairgrounds, Bonners Ferry. The signs will be for a homeschool book sale, or a homeschool curiculum sale. That is what it will mainly be, but me and some of my friends will be selling our crafts. It will be from 8 a.m . to 3 p.m., on Friday the 12th of June. I will also be at a yard sale, probably the 19th of June. I will give details as soon as I have them.

All Natural Waterproof Sunscreen

Many sunscreen ingredients have been shown to be harmful, so here is an article on that.

My waterproof sunscreen is all natural, and these are all the ingredients:
Coconut oil
Beeswax
Shea Butter
Water
Aloe Vera
Grapefruit and Peppermint essential oil
Zinc Oxide

Each 8 oz pump bottle is $10, and whoever buys the first bottle and writes a review on my blog after using the sunscreen will receive a special discount of 1/2 off of their sunscreen! This discount is only good for the first bottle, so act fast! I will post when the first person has bought it. If you have darker skin, I can add cocoa powder so that the sunscreen doesn't show up on your skin.
